Redeem

To redeem is to accept. To accept is to give in. Giving in conflicts with my ego. My ego is me. A gift is something nice packaged and presented to you so that among other things the presenter can redeem himself in your eyes, probably for some mistake he has committed, some work he wants done, some outstretched tentacle that seeks emancipation from the way of the introvert. A gift once given is not returned, a gift once accepted is not returned. Why attempt the exchange in the first place if one is not sure. Redemption needs to be sought when one wants it.

Aura

There is more to one's presence than the air he displaces, the point he occupies on the space-time continuim. There is to each individual a cover that prevades into the metaphysical domain that one might call an aura. I am no advocate of spirituality hence I do not talk spiritually when I say each one of us has an aura. I mean it in a more literal sense that settles down into the very core of each person. We exude our essence, our character, our thinking, our way. It forms an aura around us that in my opinion should be visible to the gifted amongst us but I myself have not witnessed it as yet.

Horizon

There are limitations on man. I once read somewhere that our eyes have this inbuilt desire to see perspective. We cannot imagine a picture which has two vanishing points. Never will we see parallel lines that do not meet. Yet another place I read that a man wore glasses that inverted the image of the world for him all the time for two weeks and at the end of two weeks his vision had returned to normal, right side up. Now when he took his glasses of again he had the same problem that the world appeared upside down but it soon returned to normal. If our eyes can compensate for such an event I am sure they have the ability to see multiple vanishing points in images. Our horizons are broad indeed and anyone who uses the limitations his physical body or his mental organ imposes then he is for sure putting forward a rather weak arguement.

Sound

A phenoema of compressions and rarefactions that require a medium. A very intricate and complex process that leads to the most effective medium of communication that we have. It is used both for business and pleasure but it is its metaphysical aspect that intrigues me. I have heard rumours that when in resonance with your own mind sounds can prove to be very illuminating. Althought I have tried to replicate this effect but with little success. It seems one requires headphones for such an act.

Mysticism

Indians have their Bhramin and we have our sufis. There appears in each civilization or society an ever broadening spectrum of versatile people, activities, traditions as the individual components grow and evolve. One cannot simply dismiss these deviations on the basis of majority beliefs. Traditions such as metaphysics and mysticism are not a figment of some crazy man's imagination. They are the result of a combined effort of mankind to use stagnant rules of understanding upon an ever changing swirl that is their temporal existence.
If we were to evaluate mysticism in its proper context as a rebellion against the contemporary analytic approach then it would become apparent that mysticism is much more than a few reclusive individuals chanting hymns. It is a revaluation of human understanding and a departure from normal comprehension towards emotional surrender. I cannot do justice to this topic here but I believe our bias towards the fully comprehensible acts as a barrier between us and a better understanding of mysticism.

Dreams

Dreams are just what they are, dreams. They are inconsquential, random images recieved in a weakend and unaware state. They are the stuff of imagination, the highest and most vivid manifestation of mankind's creative capabilities. If one were to say that any correlation exists between an actual event or a past sensory experience and the experience of a dream then one would be standing on weak grounds. This is all I have to say.

Sine

Ask them what our universe is made of and their answer is waves. For the scientifically inclined this statement is believable and at times comes close to the truth but the string theory is still in its infancy. It has yet to surpass the inital stages of being a philosophy to become a widely accepted concept taught in textbooks to our young.

However our own attempts at replicating God's universe only results in approximations to the real thing shown above. What we have been able to achieve is a jittery replica that manages to grasp a few defining characteristics of what a sine wave is.

The dilemma still remains. We are unable to know, we only theorize, we only guess. However these guesses are not just some random thoughts some scientist with wiry, graying hair had. This is the work of dedicated intellectuals who try to study the world objectively attempting to isolate from it the secrets it holds within using strategies that have come to be defined as science. This term science need not be defined. In fact it cannot be defined for it is a construct within society much like our language. It is as flexible as the human mind, ever changing and ever adapting.

Circle

The circle is another integral construct identifying itself with the cryptic and eccentric nature of reality. It has no beginning and it has no end yet it has existence. It is a shape that wraps onto itself as if exodus leads back to the origin. Those bold enough to break through the shackles of perception and to traverse its length soon come to the realization that they are fighting a lost battle. For that is what a circle is. It cannot be broken down into the distinct elements of birth and cessation.

Prologue

There was nothing. There was black. Out of that black emerged everything. Out of that black came the white. But this did not suffice. All the other colors came following and so was born the universe. [Middle English, from Old French univers, from Latin niversum, meaning whole, one. + versus, past participle of vertere, meaning to turn, to become]. This is not as easy a concept to grasp as it seems. In essence what is being said here is that something came out of nothing. That something is still confied to a finite area bounded by that nothing. This is where my reality starts. Infinity encased within finity.
