Beyond

Going beyond boundaries is a theme that seems to drive mankind towards extinction. However one can never be really sure of what we will achieve. We are gifted with something that enables us to excel in the most extraordinary way. We create for ourselves perils and manage to create solutions to those perils but had we not created those perils we would not have needed to those solutions. I am inclined to think that progress brings with it the mandatory ugliness which can take the form of pollution, war, poverty. These cannot be eliminated. Doing so would result in a eutopian society where many would be at a loss to do anything simply because everything is so perfect.
